100 Days of Love is a romantic comedy thriller of 2015 released in Malayalam language (Mollywood). Jesuse Mohamed, the son of veteran film director Kamal, directed and produced the film. The film features Dulquer Salman and Nitya menon in lead roles. Sekher Menon, Rahul madhav, Aju Varghese and Vineeth play pivotal roles in this film. This is a breezy romantic comedy family entertainer story narrated in a natural way. Balan K Nair (dulquer Salman) is working as a columnist in a famous daily based in Banglore. He wanted to become a good cartoonist in life. To get a fame amoung the typical groups he himself calls him BKN. He thinks that this short form in three letters will help him very much to become famous. Ummar is his close friend and he has only two hobbies, eating and playing games in computer. During free time they used to go for outing and they met a beautiful girl accidently on the way in one of their outing time. It was a rainy day and in that rainy day BKN met his darling, the heroine. At the first site itself BKN liked her very much, but Sheela (Nithya menon) who is there to enjoy life after her studies, was not a type as they considered. She was very practical in deciding anything and she never felt the need for fall in love. But Vijay was not ready to retreat, he asked the help of his friend Ummer. The twist of the story starts from there and the endeavour to trace her and make her fall in love make the essence of the story. They didn't think that it will change their life forever. The events that follow is portrayed beautifully with a blend of humour and romance. The film received positive reviews more and was accepted by the audience enthusiastically. '100 days of Love' is regarded as the one of the best charming romantic comedy film ever made in Malayalam. The two old Malayalam 'villains' with Nitya menon actually steal the show absolutely. Jensue Mohammed has proved his talent in his first film itself and he had come out from the shade of his father as a director. His integrity towards the script is highly appreciated. It tells the story of two youths without exaggerating the scene and the characters are ordinary people which you meet in day-to-day life. The on screen chemistry of Dulquer and Nitya is awesome and no other characters in Malayalam (even Nazir and Sheela!) played ever like this. This is the advantage of the film. This time we can undoubtedly say that Dulquer's youthful charm and Nitya's steller looks conquered the hearts of the youths and elders as such and played a major role in the success of the film. The music and comedy in this film is well-timed and suits the occasion. In short love and its varied emotion scape have been drawn out quite rhythmically through the music, cinematography and script. I wish to conclude this review by quoting a part from Veeyen of now running.com: 'it takes the wine drenched words of Balan, a rain and a whole lot of thinking for Sheela to decide once and for all, as to what she truly wants from life. It takes infinitely lesser time for us to decipher what this film is all about ' a swoonless romance bereft of smiles or sighs'.
